Before scheduling a pickup, ensure your items:
- Are clean, complete, and in proper working condition
- Are free of stains, damage, odors, or pet hair
- Include appliances that are under 10 years old and fully functional
- Are not listed on our “cannot accept” list below
- Are readily accessible (garage, driveway, or ground level)
- Can be safely handled by two people
Note: Items that do not meet these criteria may be declined at pickup.
Items we cannot accept
Due to safety, resale limitations, and disposal costs, we are unable to accept:
- Mattresses
- Window blinds (unless new in sealed box)
- Desktop computers, printers, scanners, copiers
- Paint that is not new/sealed
- Unclean, broken, or heavily worn items
- Used flooring, or flooring in quantities of less than 900 sq ft
Items we cannot sell still require staff time and disposal costs, which reduces funding available for affordable housing.

FAQ: What items qualify for free donation pickup in Pasco County?
We offer free pickup for gently used, sellable items such as furniture, appliances, cabinets, tools, building materials, and other home goods that are clean, complete, and in good working condition.
FAQ: What items do not qualify for pickup?
We cannot pick up items that are broken, unsafe, heavily worn, or not accepted by the ReStore, including mattresses, opened paint, and certain electronics. Please review our we cannot accept list before scheduling.
FAQ: Do appliances need to work to qualify for pickup?
Yes. Appliances must be clean, under 10 years old, and fully operational to qualify for pickup.
FAQ: Can you pick up items from inside my home?
Items must be easily accessible for pickup, such as in a garage, driveway, or at ground level. For safety reasons, we may not be able to remove items from inside a home or from upper floors.
FAQ: Do you offer no-contact donation pickups?
Yes. No-contact pickups are available. Items must be placed outside in a clearly accessible location prior to the scheduled pickup time.
FAQ: Will you still pick up my items if they don’t meet guidelines when you arrive?
Items that do not meet acceptance guidelines may be declined at pickup. This helps us maximize funding for affordable housing and avoid disposal costs.
