Who we are
Habitat for Humanity of East and Central Pasco County is a nonprofit, Christian housing ministry that brings people together to build homes, communities, and hope. Since 1994, we’ve built or rehabilitated over 160 homes, creating paths to stability and self-reliance for families throughout our region.
What our board members do
As a member of our Board of Directors, you’ll play a vital role in guiding the strategic direction of our affiliate and strengthening our mission. Responsibilities include:
- Attending monthly board meetings
- Participating in committee work and fundraising efforts
- Representing Habitat in the community
- Supporting and advocating for affordable housing initiatives
- Upholding our values of transparency, inclusion, and service
Who should apply
We welcome individuals from all backgrounds, professions, and lived experiences—including those with expertise in:
- Nonprofit governance
- Finance or accounting
- Law or real estate
- Construction or development
- Marketing, communications, or fundraising
- Community organizing or advocacy
No prior board experience is required—just a commitment to our mission and a heart for service.
Time commitment
Board members typically serve a three-year term, with opportunities for renewal. Average monthly commitment is 4–6 hours, including meeting attendance and committee participation.
