Home starts with you.
Habitat for Humanity began as a grass-roots effort, and thanks to the commitment of countless volunteers it’s become a movement dedicated to providing safe, decent, affordable housing for families who lack adequate shelter.

Will we get to meet the future Habitat homeowner from our build project?
Habitat’s future homeowners have requirements to fulfill, which we call sweat equity. This includes construction on their home and the homes of others participating in Habitat’s homeownership program. It is possible you will get to work with the homeowners. Other volunteer opportunities also include working in a Habitat ReStore where you will have the opportunity to work alongside Habitat staff and other volunteers.
Volunteer code of conduct
Becoming a Habitat volunteer comes with great rewards and responsibilities. Volunteers are representatives of Habitat for Humanity. In addition to complying with all laws, regulations and Habitat for Humanity policies, all volunteers are expected to follow Habitat’s volunteer code of conduct.
