Habitat Homes

home

Since 1994, Habitat for Humanity of East and Central Pasco County has built and dedicated more than 160 safe, affordable homes for families in communities across Zephyrhills, Dade City, Wesley Chapel, Land O’ Lakes, Lacoochee, St. Leo, and beyond. Each home tells a story of partnership, hope, and a brighter future.

We’re proud to work alongside local volunteers, donors, and partner families to build strength and stability through affordable homeownership.

Homes we build

At Habitat for Humanity of East & Central Pasco County, we’re proud to build safe, energy-efficient, and affordable homes for hardworking individuals and families throughout our community—including areas like Zephyrhills, Dade City, Wesley Chapel, Land O’ Lakes, and beyond.

We primarily construct new single-family homes, but occasionally we rehabilitate existing properties when the opportunity arises. Every home is sold to a qualifying homebuyer through an affordable mortgage, making homeownership accessible and sustainable.

Home types and floor plans

All Habitat homes are built with quality, durability, and affordability in mind. They come with:

  • A standard homeowner’s warranty
  • Energy-efficient appliances and systems
  • Designs that fit family size and need

We’ve built homes ranging from 2 to 6 bedrooms, with 1 or 2 bathrooms, depending on family size and available land.
Our most common floor plan is a 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom home with approximately 1,125 square feet of living space.

Where we build – choosing a location

Habitat homes are built across East and Central Pasco County, including cities and towns such as:

  • Zephyrhills
  • Dade City
  • Wesley Chapel
  • Land O’ Lakes
  • San Antonio, St. Leo, and Lacoochee

We build where land is affordable, infrastructure is available, and where we can make the greatest impact. During the application process, homebuyers may indicate their location preferences, and once sweat equity requirements are met, we work with each family to review available home sites.

What does a Habitat home cost?

While the market value of a Habitat home may vary based on location and size, each home is sold at no profit and financed with a subsidized mortgage tailored to your income.

  • Monthly mortgage payments—including property taxes and insurance—are generally set at no more than 30% of your gross monthly income.
  • This ensures long-term affordability and financial stability for your family.

Habitat offers a hand-up, not a handout—empowering local families to achieve the dream of homeownership while building equity and community.
