Group Volunteers & Team Building

Habitat East and Central Pasco hosts corporate, school faith, civic and many other kinds of groups of five to 10 individuals.

VOLUNTEER DAYS
We are especially in need of weekday volunteers. You can choose to volunteer on Tuesdays or Wednesdays. Saturdays are reserved for sponsor/team build groups of 5 - 10 volunteers. Please contact Kathy Proulx to find out more about Team Build days. We are currently building in Dade City, Florida.

*Please note, Saturdays book up quickly. Priority will be given to those groups sponsoring the home.

9:00 am -4:00 pm

AGE REQUIREMENTS
Volunteers 18 years and older may register themselves, watch the safety video and sign up for a shift. 16 and 17 year olds must provide a waiver of liability signed by a parent or guardian. They may work on a construction site but may not use power tools or a ladder. Underage groups are required to have an adult with them.

VOLUNTEER ACTIVITIES CAN INCLUDE

• Framing interior walls
• Setting trusses
• Installing soffit and fascia
• Installing insulation board
• Installing windows
• Installing doors and cabinets
• Trim work
• Landscaping, etc.

Because construction is unpredictable, we ask volunteers to be prepared for any activity. We are unable to inform you of your volunteer activity until a week before your volunteer day. The build schedule can change quickly due to sub contractors, weather and number of volunteers.

ATTIRE
Close toed shoes are required.

TOOLS
We provide all the necessary tools for you.

LUNCH
We ask all volunteers to bring their own lunch. Groups are welcome to have lunch brought in for their volunteers. Water is provided.
