Volunteer as a Group with Habitat for Humanity of East and Central Pasco County
We welcome corporate, school, faith-based, civic, and community groups of 5–10 individuals to join us for team building while giving back. Volunteering together strengthens your team while helping families achieve the dream of homeownership.
Volunteer days
- Weekdays (Tuesdays & Wednesdays): Open to individual and group volunteers.
- Saturdays: Reserved for sponsor or team build groups of 5–10 volunteers. Priority is given to groups sponsoring the home. Please note: Saturday spots fill up quickly.
- Current build location: Dade City, Florida.
Volunteer times
- 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Age requirements
- 18 and older: May register online, complete the safety video, and sign up directly.
- Ages 16–17: Must submit a parent/guardian-signed waiver. Eligible for construction activities but not permitted to use power tools or ladders.
- Underage groups: Must be accompanied by an adult supervisor.
Volunteer activities
Construction tasks vary depending on the build schedule, subcontractors, weather, and volunteer turnout. Activities may include:
- Framing interior walls
- Setting trusses
- Installing soffit and fascia
- Installing insulation board
- Installing windows, doors, and cabinets
- Trim work
- Landscaping and more
Final assignments are confirmed about one week before your scheduled volunteer day. Please be prepared for any type of activity.
What to bring & wear
- Attire: Closed-toe shoes are required. Dress for construction.
- Tools: All tools are provided by Habitat.
- Lunch: Please bring your own lunch. Groups are welcome to arrange catering for their volunteers. Water is provided.
